Which is OK as far as it goes, but doesn't answer the OP's underlying question as to how it is conceivable that such a bizarre situation could ever have arisen in the first place, bearing in mind that, according to BA's seating policy, a child should automatically have been pre-seated at T-72 beside at least one of the adults in his/her group.
