Just arrived. I will update 're: lounge on weekend' when I get a chance to ask the front desk or when it gets to the weekend (whichever comes first).

Few notes:
-They are currently renovating rooms (it is also noted on the website), but the renovated wing will not be available until the first week of december/mid-december (according to the front desk).
-I was told upon check-in that as a platinum benefit they had upgraded me and the hotel has a standard policy of a 2-category upgrade (nice touch that they provide the information upfront, so that you don't have slip in the subtle suggestion of an upgrade). I asked about the possibility of an ocean view as the room I booked was with an ocean view and the upgrade was to a very generously sized room, but with no view. They very kindly noted it in my file to see if they might be able to upgrade me to an ocean view tomorrow (which was fine because I wasn't going to be able to see anything out of my window at midnight anyway).
-Getting into the hotel at night is apparently a consistent problem because the traffic backs up for the entrance, as it is the same entrance for the nightclub at the hotel. The security is very thorough in their search of cars entering the property (check engine, trunk, inside the car, and have security dogs - not sure if they are just part of the security or are trained to smell things).
