The choice to do a service on XJT is never at the FAs discretion. We have a clearly outlined policy.

Flight times:
Under 30 minutes: Upon request
31-45 Minutes: Express service (water, oj, coffee)
45 minutes or more: Full service
1 hour or more: Full service + water service
2 hour or more: 2 full beverage services + water service
3 hour or more: 3 full service + water service

And the new official snack policies are:
under 1.5 hours - nothing
1.5-2 hours - pretzels
2-2.5 hours - biscoff
2.5+ B.O.B.

Unfortunately our snack service is all messed up. I keep getting no b.o.b. cart for my long flights but i have it for short ones? Its weird.
