i dont know if AC has locked the OLCI Standby Upgrade up for Exec customer... but in the past whenever you were in Exec Class regardless of reward, cert or actual J class....the earlier standby function was always available
I believe it's available to everyone but if you are on a non Exec/Lat fare you pay for the confirmed standby at the airport.
