Conversely see what happens when you try to enter a CO club with your M&M branded Senator CC. Because the gold CC looks very similar, they are not very excited to accept it. Then the discussion 'is this your elite card' and then when they swipe it doesn't read because the magnetic stripe spits out both the FFP service number and the CC number.
Fair enough. Just drives me nuts because continental calls the card they print from their website a "duplicate card", so in Continental's eyes, I had my card. Oh well.
