I also very vaguely remember Blogger Bob insisting that MMW images were OK for the general public, while backscatter images were, indeed, revealing and therefore would not be used. Later we were told that backscatter was being used but the images were modified into cartoon figures (and got sample figures). Later, backscatter was said to be used with a "modesty filter" for facial and genital areas. The stories mutated over time.

Sure makes you wonder about the graphic nature of the images, especially since they are so conveniently hidden from the public.
