Interesting, have gotten 3 differing possibilities on the baggage transfer--

abhilife2001- ID bags at BOM domestic, 9W staff will take it from there

saad- must personally take bags from domestic to international and re-check

Gemuse (a vegetarian? ) - transfer is automatic and transparent

Gemuse's experience is most recent and directly relevant (all 9w on single ticket) so I tend to give that one more weight, but any other inputs would be welcome.

True, it might be logistically easier to meet at the international terminal area, but since family would have to pass by Santa Cruz en route to Sahar, it makes more sense for them to pick her up rather than her have to arrange transit dom-international on her own at night. Plus they may decide to go to Shivaji Park instead, so pick up at domestic would be much better.
