I was going to cash in a bunch of miles for a PHX-IAH-FRA R/T 1st class in December. I had flights put on hold Saturday and the lady gave me a confirmation number. After checking things out I called back tonight (via the Platinum number) and this lady retrieved my information.

I asked her to read back the info to confirm the times and flights. Well she did. ONLY for the domestic flights. She had no record of any international flights.

Thankfully the seats were still available. I think this lady got it right although I might not exhale until I get some kind of confirmation email. I do see that they waste no time in removing the miles from the account.

I wish I had record the first lady's name so I could send an email. Other than knowing she was located in Phoenix I have no other information. I was pretty annoyed although I didn't say much to this person since it wasn't her fault other than to point out that the first person kind of screwed up the process.
