Programs: Now just a lowly DL PM/1MM. This industry needs some competition. It's just not enjoyable anymore.

I have found that when there is a wave of departures TAs are usually not willing to engage in anything that would require extra time. They want to process the most passengers as quickly as possible. Not saying it's right. Agree calling SMS or checking with a GA may bring better results.
