One question after that did you try to SDC and get on another flight? If so then obviously GA was wrong. If you were not able to SDC then I would forget about it. I had something similar the GA was wrong and several other PAX verified that not only were they wrong but also rude - I just wrote a polite note via the website noting the details and let it go at that.
