I, too, am kind of surprised that the OP has not been stiffed on breakfast on weekends as an elite benefit until now. There is a list published here on FT of properties that others here claim to have an open lounge and/or provided breakfast on weekends but I can assure you there are some properties listed there where my experience has been very different.

Since virtually all of my weekend stays are award stays, EEOs and TFB rates are of no use to me.

HH properties do not limit breakfast to weekdays for those who choose breakfast as their "My Way" benefit - even for award stays. Not that the HH program (or properties) is perfect but if weekend breakfast is your priority then it is better than MR.
