Just a note that these results are not the official government statistics for on-time performance that most airlines use to tout their greatness. These are numbers from FlightSats. And, if we look at August, the DOT numbers (

http://images.emailroi.com/users/fli...library221.pdf). Not exactly sure what the difference is in the data, but just tossing it out there.
Also, it would appear that FlightStats just whips out a table and releases it. The DOT data is much more useful as one can drill down and find performance by airport, even by tail number. When those numbers are released next month we can get a better idea if this was a system-wide issue or if one part of Southwest's network was the hang-up.
