It's not just the operational issues, which will definitely continue to hinder ACs operations; T1's chaotic design, despite all the $$$ dumped in to it is lacking compared to contemporary designs in a lot of other hubs. I think the architectural firm laughed this one off all the way to the bank.

As an SE you must fly to a lot of airports? T1 is 3 airports in one! Domestic/Int/USA. I land/nexus go to luggage pick up, my bag is there, 90% of my UA flights...
I can check-in with a real human and be through customs and lounge in 15 minutes, again on UA.
Honestly I very seldom take less than 15 minutes from check-in to lounge on transborder flights.
AC check in cant be that bad? Do you have Nexus and priority screening?
So you must be doing something wrong? T1 is a great efficient airport. Are you complaining about AC service or the airport? Two very different things.
I very seldom fly AC however other than the check-in wait for luggage....... its fast! I assume your flights home are baggage delays?
