I'm obviously not saying that these flights shouldn't be oversold, just pointing out that your average leisure traveller is more likely to turn up than the business traveller.
Hopefully it will always be a case of overbooking rather than overselling!
Of course, you're right about the relative no-show/cancellation rate, but the overbooking model will inevitably include something for the proportion of the leisure passengers who don't turn up. That's why holiday flights can/must be overbooked to some extent too.
