Pre departure
Was check in quick and efficient? No, but the agent was working hard to get the correct status assigned to my tickets amongst other things.
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? N/A
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? Yes. Front desk was very approachable and helpful.
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Yes.
If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? Yes, no

Onboard - J cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? So-so
If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? Update provided by the captain once the flight had boarded. His estimates for getting under way were correct.
Was the IFE activated on the ground? Yes, but it took a while
Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? Yes. Instead of a selection of water/OJ on a tray, the FA approached with a selection of empty glasses and a bottle of water asking if we'd like "water or juice". Water was poured in front of you, juice was provided on demand. I've never seen this before and it seemed a little bit low brow. Some people seemed apprehensive about asking for juice.
Did crew offer to hang your jacket? Yes, but not until well into the delay.
Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)? No menus provided. A semi accurate description of the options was verbally provided.
Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service? Yes. Unlike most flights this didn't happen until well after drinks were provided after takeoff.
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected) 1.5+ hrs
How was the quality of all the meals? Okay, but no vegetarian option was catered. This was a very big oversight.
Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Sort of.

If you have checked baggage, did it arrive within reasonable period of time?

Overall experience/any other comments
This was the most disappointing J service of the 80+ that I've had this year.
The fine point were:
- missing pasta from catering
- the service was sloppy and disjointed
- the food took forever to be provided (required a 2nd heating)
- when provided the trays still had the plastic covers on the salad and cheese cake
- once the main course had been re-re-heated, it was delivered to the seats with the foil cover still on it
- the front galley curtain was closed for under five minutes through the entire flight. Thankfully the FA didn't sit down and make us watch her take a break
- when served and the FA serving the cabin seemed like she was being pushed to the edge of her abilities
