So, not really much of a benefit unless we take a car from an airport - any airport, I guess. Which of the three would you think give us the best chance at finding a minivan in the EA (we will book full-size to be on the safe side) - assuming rental prices will be the same. Any particular day of the week or hour?
I think people here are warning you about the "taxes" on an airport rental. The daily rate will be the same as a neighbourhood location; it's the airport concession fee that's going to kill you. Double check your rates with all taxes and fees included!
As for the minivan question - your best bet is to hope when you get there. I've seen minivans in aisles everywhere; I've also seen no minivans in the same aisle the next day.
You can always try sweet-talking the lot guy - I don't know how well that will work (people here might be able to help out, I've never had to do it) - if you explain why you want a minivan they might be able to "go get one" for you, "for the Aisle".
