Emails to the TSA being ignored or responded to inaccurately

I am starting this thread to try an create better dialogue between the TSA and the traveling public. I have sent many emails to "[email protected]" looking for information to make the screening process more efficient and seamless. But often when I send an email my direct question is either ignored or responded to inaccurately. Most of the time it takes about 3-4 replies before my actual question is answered. This thread is for all the posters that know exactly what i am talking about. My hope is that by posting the many ridiculous and unrelated responses from the TSA to valid questions and concerns from the general public, the TSA might actually start reading the questions before responding. I know it is a long-shot but at the very least we will all get a good laugh at the types of questions they choose not to directly answer. So i will start it off:

My question:

At what point am I subjected to a possible search of my person and belongings from a TSO? When i enter the airport or when i place my bag on the x-ray belt? Or when?

TSA response:

Thank you for your email message concerning the checked baggage screening process for air travel.

The Aviation and Transportation Security Act (ATSA) established the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and mandated deadlines for enhanced security measures. Enhanced security measures require that all baggage undergo at least one form of screening. Hand screening of the luggage will be required to clear every alarm to complete the screening process.

We encourage you to visit our website at http://www.tsa.gov for additional information about TSA. We continue to add new information and encourage you to check the website frequently for updated information.

We hope this information is helpful.

Comment:

My question asked nothing about checked baggage. I was asking at what point is a passengers consent to screening is initiated. And they would not even state if the answer falls under SSI or not.

Please post the questions that have gotten you the run-around.
