Being platinum- not so good on weekends

After a week staying in various Marriotts, I checked into yet another one for the weekend... was diappointed to hear the concierge club is closed on the weekends, but thought, ok, that's the rules.... then asked where I should eat my free breakfast and was told by the manager that they are trying to standardize the rules and that breakfasts are NOT provided to platinum members on weekends. I've had many cases in the last 12 months (Hong Kong, JW Washington, etc) where I received weekend breakfasts, and this is the first time in my many nights over the last few years I've run into this.

I think Marriott has thankfully fixed the internet disparity - why would one recieve free internet at their "lesser" brands like Courtyard but then not at their more premium brands? Same applies to breakfast.

The manager ended up providing a compromise solution (slightly higher rate that includes breakfast) but I think this is a MAJOR FLAW in this program. I'm sure it's been covered here many times <?> but a search for "platinum" did not reveal a thread on the first results page.

Marriott, hope you're listening!
