True; DL did not comp me to Platinum from AA either when I was doing 200K-300K miles per year as AA PLT (pre AA EXP days). Some senior management dude in Atlanta (I don't recall his name or title) stated to me that it required "an act of god" to comp someone to DL PLAT. What he did however was give me unlimited upgrade privileges like the DL PLATS received until I reached DL PLAT in 4 months. He did verify from my statements the amount of travel I did when he made the offer. Everytime I made a reservation for domestic coach travel my travel agent would have to call his Atlanta office to effect the upgrade. Since most of my trips were overseas he had given me a stack of system wide upgrade certificates and my travel agent had to call only for the few domestic trips.

I've maintained DL PLAT every year since then (12+ years?) and still am. However because of the recent changes in the program I've reduced my DL butted miles and switched back to AA.

You may be able to work something out with AA like DL did for me if you can find someone at the HQ and send them your statements. AA seems to be more reasonable than DL these days.

Good Luck
