On flight 594 LAS-YYZ Red Eye overnight. Tried to upgrade at the gate about 45-minutes prior to departure (and when the gate agent finally arrived) with certs but was told the flight was closed and we could not be upgraded. Took our seats in Y then after take off noticed the in charge moved the two people in the B and E seats of the first row of economy into J! Truly pissed off that LAS closes the flight so early and has no means at the gate to process last minute upgrades.
Service was otherwise spotty. Why must one ask for a full can of tomato juice? Do FAs not have a print out indicating who should be getting the Latitude fare $7 credit?
