This is mistakenly assumes that 250K of any spend/pay still gets you a Centurion. I think a significant reason for the Cent going back to invitation only was to give Amex more discretion in giving out Cents, meaning some can get it with less than 250k, some with more, and to weed out people that are clearly churning to get to the old magic number.
