What they don't specify is whether the same itinerary must be used again some other time, and whether there is any time relationship between the death and the flights.
I'll look into the cancellation insurance option, too.

If you wish to provide your fare basis, I supect there are several members here that could help answer your question. Of course, AA should be able to as well, although as we all know, any given answer may be flawed....
