Instead of getting off at Livingston, I would continue through Bozeman, get off at Three Forks and go north through Townsend to Helena and get on I-15 there. That's better than going through White Sulphur Springs, and you'll be on the interstate for a longer portion of the travel. The time difference should be negligible.
