I have mixed feelings on this.
1) No F probably means more C seats...The cuts, on the 747 in particular have made it very difficult to use our SWUs (see the multiple threads, including the new one on SYD upgrades). I was on a ORD-HKG flight that had 60+ people on the C upgrade list for 3 available seats. Lately, I wish UA still offered paper SWUs, that way they'd at least be good as toilet paper in an emergency. I was able to get NC space on a trip booked 8 MONTHS ahead with midweek traveling--only because there was a glitch with .bomb that showed phantom NC space and they extended me the seats as a courtesy.
2) When I travel for vacation, I like to use my miles for International F. But that's only once a year or every two years or so. It was really nice on our trip last December to SYD and MEL.
In the grand scheme of things, I think I'd prefer no F, as long as it means more C seats. That being said, I know I'm not a Full F customer, and probably not much of a factor in their decision. Plus, if I do want to go Intl F, I'm sure LH, ANA and other *A partners will maintain their F cabins, and that's okay with me. LH's F was a real treat on our honeymoon 3 years ago.
