Today, a good friend of mine got to see the power of the mighty Star Alliance network firsthand. My friend was flying on a BMI award ticket (gifted to him by me) from Istanbul to Rome via Zagreb using Turkish Airlines and Croatia Airlines. The Turkish flight ran late, Croatia got the info. via the Star Alliance Common IT Platform, and held the flight at ZAG so he and others could continue on their journey to Rome.
