I think UA's poor realization is that shnoooks like me aren't going to pay $800 OOP for this and there's no company I can think of that would approve the expense. I can't imagine they've had too many takers. In fact, that price point may be higher than paying for the same benefits for quite a number of flights. Really wish they could just roll EQM qualifying period to any 12 months. Not that hard an IT problem to manage. The disincentive anyone who starts flying in Q3/A4.
