Surely there must be some level of control/logging linked to Interpol or similar? Where would they catch questionable passports or wanted criminals? Which is exactly my worry - maybe they don't
But again, certainly in T5, that is NOT a Passport scan but a BP scan!

Immigration checks are done from the list of booked PAX supplied by the airline.
