^You will never be able to justify to me how a stroller is less safe than someone's giant rollaboard suitcase in an overhead.

I've seen so many dropped on people and they weight a whole lot more than our stroller!

As for gate checking, maybe you have not read all of the reviews, but the problem was the strollers were NOT coming back up to the jetway even when they were supposed to. Hence the reason for bringing them on the plane.
