Checking in at JFK for my usual JFK-HKG-PVG biz trip. The agent printed out my BP, with the econ seat, and then flags down what looks like a supervisor walking by, and asked him, "I have a GO here, are there any seats open?" The supervisor replied, "I don't have any seats open."

I thought they will do op-ups based on automatic ranking (DM, GO) if tie by BN#. Or that the check-in agent will realize there are no seats open by checking her computer.

Anyway, just find the conversation interested (and disappointing...)
