Looking forward to her next China trip!!
Indeed...

Friends I have on long haul do lots of regular shopping in the US. Toiletries, some household items, clothing, shoes etc... All because they are cheaper there.

As someone else mentioned, although crew may be there on a night stop, they may be doing that as part of a 6 or 7 day trip. They may have been called from QRS (Long Haul Airport standby) where they have to pack for anything from a night stop to a 9 day BKK-SIN/SYD, also knowing what to pack as from standby they could be called for a trip to MRU where flip flops and bikini would suffice, to going to YYZ in December etc...

A lot of crew commute so may just be doing a night stop, but when they get back to LHR, they have 2 or 3 days off and will be staying in London before another short trip, so have all their things with them for that...

Is it really anyone else's concern what we choose to take to work?

As long as it is within our checked weight limit and is legal... who cares.
