That's what I thought. The passenger first appeared with two large carry-on items and talked to my wife. Next thing I knew, she had moved in with one piece of luggage under the seat in front and the large back-pack blocking the area beneath her feet.
Didn't think much of it until the luggage remained there even after flight attendants passed by twice doing the pre-landing check for upright seats, electronic devices, etc. That's when I was surprised that the luggage remained in the way until people got up to leave the plane once we arrived at the gate.
