JumboJet, you should ask for a printout of the fare rules for your ticket -- the rules as they stood when the ticket was purchased, not the rules as modified. If the rules say you upgrade from coach to "A" thanks to the YUP fare, then my understanding is that you are fully entitled to sit in three-class First -- for A is a booking code for three-class First. Don't let yourself get sold short!
