I was looking at YYZ-HNL via DFW the other day and called AA to see if points upgrades were available, since it would have been a nice weekend , 9000 paid miles and only CAD $1,600.

She said only upgrades for return were via LAX (not via DFW or ORD) and the ticket was $2,900 vs. $1,600 via LAX.

I went online and found a J fare (which was actually YUP on the outbound) was $3,070. Since I wouldn't spend 30,000 miles for an upgrade from coach where the full fare cost was only $170 more, I got to wondering: The fare basis was this YUP fare , coach to J or F on the DFW - HNL portion.

What other routes do we know of that have YUP fares on them routinely? I found a flight to LAS via DFW had it so what others are routine?

I think for MR's with no use of points to upgrade I might fly more US routes for the miles if I knew what routes were easy to find YUP fares on.
