I would add that Louis C Jacob's position, although on the river, is also opposite the Air Bus Industries factory, so the view is of huge barges transporting components and lots of flights taking off. Surprisingly, the staff does not appear to see this, but still thinks the views are idyllic.

I have also tried some of the Design Hotels in Hamburg. Be warned, do not follow in my footsteps - they are horrendous.

Vier Jahreszeiten gets my vote, although I do wish they would get someone to clean and restore some of their paintings, as many of them are so black that you cannot see anything.
