We used to have a regular here who used the "old trick" (his words) of tearing the pages from the guidebooks that he wanted for a specific day.

At the end of each day, he'd rip those pages into little bits of confetti and sprinkle them into his bath to ensure that he absorbed as much of the information as possible.
