I'm not sure whether GS/1Ks are being upgraded before Platinum's but I certainly have cause for suspicion. I was flying IAH-SFO on 10/2 on and didn't clear the upgrade as a Plat on a "V" fare — another FlyerTalker reported getting the upgrade on the same flight as a 1K. I haven't contacted the FTer to find out what fare basis he/she was on, but it does strike me as a bit suspicious…
