I am seeing plenty of posts from UA people about getting upgrades 5 days out. I have flights this coming Thursday where I have not yet been upgraded as a Plat on a lower (but not lowest) fare.

Logging on the PDA site, my first flight is booked to 9 of 20 with 8 of those 9 being listed as upgraded. The practical side of me sees this list as a mix of higher fare CO Plats, YB folks and maybe a mileage upgrade or two.

The cynical side of me is wondering if some of those people are UA GS/1K who were upgraded ahead of me in violation of of the published hierarchy. The connecting flight is booked to 5 of 16 with 3 of the 5 listed as upgrades.

Is anyone else experiencing suspicious upgrade situations that might leave someone wondering if the hierarchy is not being followed properly?
