I had ruled that out, should I not? I'm Hilton Diamond as well but that doesn't get me suites, and haven't been a big fan of Hilton resorts generally (eg the cheesy 'Hilton Breakfast' brand standard that to me destroys any sense of place ). I'm perfectly happy with a Hilton for a city hotel but -- and I haven't visited the Conrad Maldives, for instance -- haven't yet found a resort in their chain that I've much enjoyed.
