You can not pre-select on Qantas Link at this time.

You can choose your individual seat 24 hours out when you go into print your boarding pass. Check a couple of times between 24 hrs out and when you go to the airport as the seat availability seems to move around a bit.

I have been Cairns/Perth/Cairns via both Uluru and Alice Springs a few times in the last month on Qantas and the flights have been all full
