I do not think that's the case. I'm a silver and was flying with my wife and the infant to Europe this summer. I could not request seats in rows 12 or 29 on A333 for TATL flight.

I was in a similar situation on ATL-CDG A333. We had an adult ticket (yes, DL knew that one adult ticket was for an infant ) for the baby, so that we could bring the infant car seat on the airplane. But I asked about bassinet too, so that it was easier for the baby to sleep on such a long flight. We did not get bassinet for the eastbound flight (despite requests at the checking counter, SkyClub and the gate), but got it for the westbound flight - GA noticed we had the baby and simply gave us seats in row 29.
