Its always easy after 3 years as thats when most banks stop looking at info. It applies to accounts you hold as well, as long as you dont have any payments missing from them for the past three years all should be okay.
yeah i totally agree with you my credit history is perfect so i hope its just a one off i will call them tomorrow and see what they say if they still wont accept me i will just try again next year! but i want an amex card soon to help with miles....
