We are travelling on friday from DEN to MSP and then onto AMS. I have added our infant in lap to our reservation and have paid the charges and noted that we'd like a bassinet. Delta states bassinets are first come first served and not guaranteed (which I understand) and they won't assign those seats until check in. However, the delta agent i spoke to on the phone just now said that row 29 and row 12 of our A330 has already been assigned. But not with people who are requesting the bassinet.

So I'm confused. How do I get to reserve the bassinet if I can't do so ahead of time, yet those seats have already been assigned?
