There are two ACs at MIA. The NICE one is the one in Concourse E, outside security--follow the signs and take one of two elevators up to the top floor. In my opinion, this club is on par with the A DFW Club (except for the exercise room). Nice view because it is perched up on top of the terminal building. Very bright, tropical feel. Kids' playroom. Smoking room. Computers (but very few and always in use by Solitare players--bring your laptop). Haven't tried the showers there but I would imagine they are nice as well. The big drawback is that it is outside security. ALWAYS ALLOW 40 MINUTES to get through MIA security, and at least an hour if you are going to the high number E gates (remote).

AA currently operates a second AC at MIA in Terminal B. It is a former Club America that AA has turned into a temporary club while it renovates the D club. The B club is smaller, with only a few workstations and no showers. It does not have a view at all because it is located in the center of the building. But it does have a bar, etc. It was at this club where I saw Miss Universe this past June*.

If you are outside security anyway (i.e. if you exit customs), they definitely go to the E club to have that experience! But if you are stuck inside security, you can go over to the B club, or wait for the D club to re-open!

*as it turned out she sat across the aisle from me for my MIA-JFK leg that night! I wrote another thread about this--search for it if you want more info.
