Just to clarify, I was sitting in 1C with a clear view of the cockpit while we were sitting at the gate during the boarding process and the cockpit door was open. The pilot got up to go to the bathroom and had to squeeze through the cockpit and bathroom doorways. Then, I watched him as he went back into the cockpit as he was trying to maneuver/wedge his way into the pilots seat. Although his size has nothing to do with his capabilities as a pilot, looking at this guy and watching him lumber back and forth into the cockpit was a little unnerving. The plane was an E175LR. Someone said that they have to pass a physical-how often? Clearly, this guy couldn't have had and passed a physical lately at his size.
