Going out of BNA is just about as good as you can get to get double MQM for the trip.
I just finished a MR to HNL this weekend (RDU-ATL-HNL-SLC-MSP-RDU). Let Sat AM and arrived back Sun afternoon. I specifically wanted to experience the A330 or I would have gone through SLC both ways.
The only way you can increase your MQM is to get a M,B,Y fare and get 150% (* 2 for the promo). I didn't want to play the upgrade lottery so I got an "A" fare which got me just under 15,000 for the one way out to HNL. The return trip hasn't posted yet but I'm expecting just short of 30,000 MQM for the trip.
By flying out of BNA you will also receive the extra 10,000 Skymiles promo as well.
If you can't upgrade on the A330, go through LAX, SFO, or SLC. The flight HNL-SLC is just under 6 hrs air time which isn't too bad in the 767. It also helps to break up a long trip.
*** Just checked account. I got 29,905 MQM for the trip and 34,921 Skymiles for the trip (including all bonuses).
