Look, I would sometimes prefer flying QF (being my country's flag carrier), but never do. Reason? I get two business class tickets Australia - Europe and return on LH/SQ, LH/TG, LX/TG or even on TG for a cost of one on QF. No brainer for me. And yes, QF occassionally has discounted J too - but I usually need to plan long time ahead and am not prepared to wait if QF releases discounts or not...
