Hi All,

I'm new to these boards -- I have a question about some deep discount tickets that Cathay is advertising on its website. Cathay says that these fares do NOT earn frequent flyer miles. This is O.K. for me, I don't need the miles, but I am wondering if the miles flown on these fares count toward elite status qualification.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
