Well first of all they are saying American Eagle..however this does say a computer is allowable for carryon... and if they understood it was a CPAP with medical equipment for what is considered a life threatening problem I think they would backtrack. Perhaps you would be better calling and talking to a supervisor???
I'm sorry but as a physician I have to say that obstructive sleep apnea(for which people need to use CPAP) is not a short term life threatening problem. Having to use oxygen while sleeping because of severe COPD would be a different issue.
