Very few resorts have lounges. So even I don't get lounge access.

However, a few (mostly in Asia) do. Of those, gold's are typically allowed access. One that comes to mind is the Bangkok resort and spa. It has a nice lounge.

One of the weak points to Marriott. That being said, I'm trying out SPG for a year, and lounge existence seems to follow no rules. Like you're supposed to get lounge access at any Sheraton but not all Sheraton have lounges. So you have to know before you go.

With Marriott, if it's FS and NOT a resort, you will get lounge access or breakfast Mon - Fri. Unfortunately, there are a lot of resorts. Some of these still give breakfasts (JW Marriott Phuket for example).
