This only trick you can play is board late and when the GA asks you for a cert, play dumb and say you can't find it but it would be too late for them to bump you back down to Y. Another advantage of paper certs.
But then again, in my case, this would be a win-win for both me and AC. If I had an extra cert, I would probably buy another trip just to make use of it!
